HAPPY + HALE NORTH HILLS

Happy + Hale, a health-conscious restaurant concept, with locations in Raleigh, NC, Durham, NC, and Greenville, SC expanded their concept with this project into a ~2,500sf up-fit at North Hills, Raleigh's midtown outdoor shopping experience. Known for using only wholesome ingredients to prepare their food, the design concept aims to complement Happy + Hale's method, using simple, honest materials for the physical space: wood, marble, and exposed concrete structure. A white-washed white oak wall and canopy is featured along a main circulation path, and a planted banquette anchors the dining experience while providing a buffer from the queue. Natural light along the perimeter is prioritized to provide sustenance to the greenery and experience.
