556 EDENTON
2 of 2
SUMMER 2014 — RESIDENTIAL
Developed as a sibling structure to 554 Edenton, this 2300 square-foot home creatively utilizes the land’s sloping topography in its floor plan. The floating staircases, double-height space in the kitchen, and a generous skylight all create a loft-like and naturally lit atmosphere. With the structure’s cantilever form, the home features multiple outdoor spaces. Materials like industrial corten and indigenous North Carolinian cypress were used to add visual contrast to the design.
